FAQ
Do I need any prior experience to start EFMC Pro? What if I already play a little?
No. EFMC Pro starts from the very beginning. If you've never touched an Erhu, you're in the right place. If you already play a little, you'll move through the early modules faster—but I recommend going through them anyway, because many players have gaps in their fundamentals that show up later.
Do I need to read music?
No. JianPu (numbered notation) is introduced gradually as part of the course. You'll build it step by step.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access. You can revisit the material whenever you want, and you get all future updates at no extra cost.
What Erhu and equipment do I need to get started?
You'll need a playable Erhu. A good instrument in the $400–$800 range will serve most students well for years. If you already have a more expensive Erhu, that's fine too—you can absolutely start with it. The most important thing is that your instrument is properly set up and responsive. For the course, you just need a device to watch the videos.
What if I don't like it?
