其實我剛開始學二胡的時候，完全不是我的主意。身為一個在加拿大出生的華人，我家人希望我能跟自己的文化根源保持連結。我媽是鋼琴老師，她知道我對音樂有熱情，所以就覺得二胡是一個可以結合音樂熱情跟文化認同的好方法。 小時候的故事：比賽和拖延 小時候，讓我努力練習的最大動力就是參加比賽。可能是因為我是白羊座吧，超愛競爭！我每年都會參加Kiwanis音樂比賽，然後幾乎是靠隨便練幾下就拿第一名。那時候我真的覺得自己很厲害，所以也就養成了一個壞習慣——覺得不用多練習也能贏。 練習對我來說真的很無聊，常常是我媽到快上課的前一天才會罵我：「你一個禮拜都沒練，明天要上課了，這樣是要給你老師捐錢嗎？」現在回想起來，當時的自己雖然有天分，但也真的很偷懶。 但有一次，我在比賽裡遇到一個真的比我強的對手。他拿了第一名，而我只得了第二名。這是我人生中的第一個警鐘，心裡暗暗想：「好，明年一定要贏回來！」於是我開始認真練習，結果下一年我在十級比賽拿下了 98.1 分的第一名。那次勝利讓我的自信心直接飆到天上去，也讓我又變懶了。 大學時期：失去熱情 後來到了高中和大學，我的心態開始變了。我哥哥小時候也跟我一起學二胡，...
